The Taby Healthcare Center in Sweden needed an innovative solution to retrofit their hot and cold water piping systems.
The project was given a tight deadline, and its occupants could not be disturbed during construction. The contractor ruled out welding as the joining method for the piping, since securing a hot works permit was very challenging for an occupied building, and decided to use Victaulic QuickVic™ Installation-Ready™ couplings instead. These couplings were easily and quickly installed without the need for flame or the potential for noxious fumes that could impact the Center's occupants.
