3M™ Linerless FAST Sealing Tape 8068ZW is a linerless construction seaming tape that is used as part of building envelope systems for sealing and seaming. It uses an aggressive, high-tack acrylic adhesive that does not require the use of a primer. Both the film and adhesive are widely compatible with most common construction materials, allowing it to be installed over or under them. These include but are not limited to synthetic rubber, butyl, polyurethane, silicone, and silane terminated hybrid sealants. It has excellent adhesion to concrete, concrete block, cementitious panels, anodized aluminum, galvanized metal, plywood, rigid vinyl, polyurethane foams, and most exterior grade fiberglass matt gypsum boards.
3M™ Linerless Construction Seaming Tape can be applied 0°F-150°F (-20°C to 66°C) and serviced -40°F to 200°F (-40°C to 93°C). The film backing is tough, resists punctures and tears, yet it is forgiving to work with. The linerless format can enable faster application and help to reduce waste. It adheres well to damp surfaces, and its 12-month UV stability allows flexibility for project delays. It meets the requirements of ASTM E2178, CAN/ULC S741, and Class A fire rating with low flame spread and smoke development when tested to ASTM E84.
